    Robert Clive took led the EIC to a victory at the Battle of Plassey. Sepoy Mutiny strikes and British takes control of India
  • Sepoy Rebellion

    Rumor spread that rifle barrels were greased with beef/pork fat. Soldiers must bite off in order to fire. Outraged Indians, Beef is sacred, Pork is haram. Riot started and eventually jailed many.

    10000 Muslims and Indians went to the capital. Amritsar, a major capital. They celebrated. British were alarmed of the grouping and open fire. 700 died while a thousand were wounded.
